2012 Presidential Elections .... 10 Lessons Learned.

The 2012 Presidential elections were personally "transformative" for me.

I have learned that my agendas alone are important and that I may advance them at any cost and by any means.

I need not be concerned for any adverse consequences whether I use duplicity, half truths or lie to influence others and advance my interests.

I am not personally responsible for my own actions and decisions as they affect either individuals or institutions; failures in outcomes are the fault of others not my own.

I will make promises I never intend to fulfill because it is more "optimal" for me than actually having to work or invest my resources to discharge the obligations.

I will use the good name, character, and good will of others carelessly and casually for my own purposes because I owe loyalty to no one other than myself.

I may aggrandize and enrich myself at the direct or indirect expense of others.

I may use and mis-use the resources of institutions for my own purposes.

I will reward lavishly those who support me and punish relentlessly those who oppose me but I will keep my enmity hidden from public view.

I will align the interests of the "press and media" with my own in order to exploit them.

I will be charismatic and approachable to serve as a "blank screen onto which people may project their hopes and dreams" and at my choosing I may "disappoint some if not all of them" but not because of my guile and deceit but rather for their own stupidity and gullibility.

Does Obama Project US Weakness Abroad ... Straight from the horse's mouth.

Foreign policy critics have previously claimed that incoherent and inconsistent Obama administration policies increase insecurity both at home and abroad for the US and its citizens.

Al Qaeda leader Zawahiri agrees, "...They were defeated in Iraq and they are withdrawing from Afghanistan and their ambassador in Benghazi was killed and the flags of their embassies were lowered in Cairo and Sanaa (Yemen) ...Their awe is lost and their might is gone and they don't dare to carry out a new campaign like their past ones in Iraq and Afghanistan."

Obama .... and the fiscal cliff .... it's a long, long way down

As a first important Domestic policy test, financial observers commenting on the steep drop in the stock market today, the day after the election, say that newly re-elected Obama must "immediately act to avoid going over the fiscal cliff".

If past performance is any indication, it's unlikely the administration and Obama will do anything "immediately".

We'll just have to wait ... and see.

The House of Representatives plans to adjourn December 14th though the fiscal cliff kicks in December 31st. Between now and then 2 recesses are planned - Nov. 17-26th and Dec 7-10 with 3 holidays.

Planned Obama family vacations: December 2012 - unknown but last year's was 17 days in Hawaii.

Allowing for calendar business days until adjournment there are 19 days to avoid $607  billion in program cuts everyone agrees will be disastrous for the country and the economy.

Clock's running !

Obama, naked and alone ... during the debate

Who can forget the whiny, little furtive and bewildered looks Obama gave moderator Jim Lehrer throughout the first presidential debate; imploring Lehrer as it were “C’mon Jim, help me out here Buddy.”, while he was being overwhelmed by adversary Mitt Romney.

News commentators observed that Obama looked “peeved”, “frustrated”, and “irritated” during the debate – and well he was ! But not for all the reasons they assumed.

What if Obama had been assured by his close advisor, Valerie Jarrett, before the debate that Lehrer was on Obama’s side and could be counted upon to bail out Obama if he got into deep water just as the Liberal Press has always done?

But Obama’s pleading looks were so overt, so desperate and so unmistakable to everyone and he performed so badly no one could have helped him that night.

It's been reported in the aftermath of the debate and looking for a scapegoat, Jarrett confronted a campaign official believed to be Juliana Smoot behind closed doors in a Whitehouse office in an explosive exchange loud enough to be overheard by other staffers, “He said he was one of ours!  What the hell happened?  He was one of ours, that’s what we were told. What the hell happened?”

And the reasonable question of course is, was she screaming about Lehrer?
