Wednesday, January 9th - Although New York State already has some of the most restrictive gun laws in the nation, Governor Andrew Cuomo called for state legislators to pass the nation's strictest gun control law banning assault weapons and high capacity magazines. In a passionate rant explaining why the measure was needed to "stop the madness", Cuomo pointed out that "no one needs ten bullets to kill a deer...".
All too often politicians frame the issue of gun control as purely a matter of "public safety" while other agendas and issues are left unrevealed and unspoken.
Here's an interesting t-shirt slogan that probably gets far closer to the truth as to why politicians ultimately like Cuomo want to disarm Americans.
